Blue Grass and Sunshine September 12, 2011 Bangor - On Saturday, September 24, 2011, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. join us at the Keith Anderson Community Center (16 Bennoch Road, Orono). "Blue Grass and Sunshine" is the theme of the 7th annual local fundraiser sponsored by Prudential Northeast Properties in Bangor to benefit the Sunshine Kids Foundation. This fun local event features 5 popular Blue Grass bands: Original Condition, Maximum Blue, Freshly Cut Grass, Wyld Blue Yonder and the Beecher Boys 'N Girls Hillbilly Band. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., where "eats and treats" will be offered. There will, also, be a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are only $10.00 sold in advance. Established in 1982 in Houston, Texas, the Sunshine Kids events provide a variety of programs free of charge for children receiving cancer treatments in hospitals across North America. The Sunshine Kids Foundation is funded by contributions from individuals, corporations and philanthropic foundations. In the least 10 years, the Prudential Real Estate Network has contributed more than $18 million to the Sunshine Kids through various fundraising activities.
